I Love Leather!

As a 5th year vegetarian, I do not condone the killing of animals for clothing but I must admit that I pine for the look of leather leggings. I adore how the look can be worn day to night, polished or edgy. Everyone seems to be sporting a pair from trend setting celebs to the fashion elite. With my morals and wallet in mind, faux leather will have to do for me!

Olivia cannot get enough of her Daryl K Leggings.

These editors are on the same page (excuse the pun) because they are all strutting the streets of Milan in their leather pants

From the runway to the streets. The look starts here:

Strike a Pose

French Vogue has new reign and that is the newly appointed Emmanuelle Alt. She steps up as the new Editor-in-Chief after THE Carine Roitfeld announced her leave in early winter. Alt has years of experience under her belt after working at Elle and then under Roitfeld. While it is sad seeing the queen of fashion leave her thrown, I LOVE Emmanuelle and her tough but chic fashion ensembles. She is the epitome of french - styling cool basics in her own way.

Alt and Roitfled

Love the fur. I share her fervor for coats!

Blazers and a too-cute trench on her mini-me. Like mother like daughter

All eyes will be focused on Alt as she starts her new position during the Spring Fashion Shows. Can you blame anyone?

Once You Go Black...

I love a good kitchen and I seem to have collected too many pictures to count and so many of them are black. I love how one color can be used in so many different ways. From a little bit of black to a lot, you cannot go wrong!

I love how these are brightened up with a pop of canary

The wood island becomes the focal point amongst all the black and dresses down the look

If you like black but don't want to commit, a black island is the way to go

And when some is just not enough...

Pop Culture

Recently celebs have been taking a cue from the Spring Collections and sporting some much needed color around town. It is a nice change from the grey and black I have been showcasing at work for the past two months. I guess it is easier to wear bright colors when you are in the California sun. Bubblegum, strawberry and tangerine seem to be the most popular shades of pop color and why not, they're so cheerful!
