Anna Sui comes to Target

Starting September 13th, Anna Sui brings her ethnic-loving, pattern-mixing fashion sensibility to Target stores everywhere. Better yet, Sui's collection was inspired by the leading ladies of Gossip Girl. Each of the 19 looks reflect the personal style of Blair, Serena, Jenny and Vanessa.

The Blair looks are characteristically girly with feminine bows and lace and in my opinion was the designers best interpretation of any the four girls

The Serena looks are fun and flirty with short hemlines in dark tones and rocker-esque fabrics.

Anna really captured the punk rock party girl meets sweet little girl in Jenny

The last four looks personify Vanessa's boho urban gal with a brown and orange palette for a look that is truly Anna Sui

Blog Inspiration

I was doing a little light reading on style.com this evening and came across a list of the next front row faces and of course I was intrigued. Most exciting to me was the two female bloggers who made the list:

Jane Aldridge, creator of Sea of Shoes, has made a name for herself (and her blog) at only 17 years old. She is fashion's equivalent to a mad scientist mixing and matching patterns, textures and labels for a perfectly young hipster look. Urban Outfitters even approached the teen to design a line of shoes, which is out in stores now. She sure is no Plain Jane

Twenty-something Rumi Neely, of Fashiontoast, is a girl-about-town of recent. She is a friend of Erin Wasson and Alexander Wang but most notable is fan Esteban Cortazar and the list will surely not end there. The Bryant Park tents are one of many stops on Rumi's way to the fashion fame.

I highly recommend you check out these gals' blogs and find out for yourself why they have such a cult following

I'm back!

Recently back from a jaunt to the Big Apple, I'm more inspired than ever to discuss all things fashion. I have so many posts to come so stay tuned. I promise I won't disappoint!
