I love a classic piece and that includes houndstooth. The menswear inspired print is always in style but recently, there has been a resurgence of the bold pattern with sightings on the red carpet and the Spring runways. The often androgynous print is usually interpreted in a serious manner with structured silhouettes in stark black and white but, not for Spring. Designers took a more feminine, fun approach to houndstooth for the warmer weather incorporating bright colors with other textures and prints. A new classic - yes please!

There is so much fun to be had mixing houndstooth with lace, print and marl. The rule to mixing any and all prints is to stick with similar color palettes and print proportion and you can create a look as easy as the outfits below.
