Mrs Cruise has been showcasing looks from Holmes and Yang on the red carpet for the past couple years and for her, it's personal. The actress and the uber popular celebrity stylist, Jeanne Yang, have finally made their relationship legitimate. The design partners first met several years ago when Jeanne styled Holmes on a magazine shoot and it was love at first sight. Since then, they have collaborated on looks for Holmes' appearances and created quite a buzz with speculation of a line to come. Well, the guessing game is finally over. The two unveiled their debut collection at trunk shows in LA, Chicago and New York in recent weeks. I'm sure this is just one of many collections to come from the adorable duo.

Ensembles from the Lookbook
The entire collection is cream, navy and black and every piece is lined in silk. It seems like a well made basics line but, the retails are reflective of the tailoring. Prices are steep ranging from about $400-$3500.

Face It!
The uber well-dressed Olivia Palermo was recently named the newest face of Tibi. I am so excited about this collaboration. The brand just suits her style. Often photographed on the street in Tibi, Ms Palermo favors classic pieces worn with pops of color and printed pieces with more subdued, yet fun, accessories. Expect to see Palermo in much more Tibi in coming months.

Everybody Wang Chung Tonight!
The can-do-no-wrong designer, Alexander Wang, opened his first store last week in the ever popular NY neighborhood of Soho. He enlisted the help of designer, Ryan Korban, to assist in the layout of the flagship store. Wang didn't want a strictly retail vibe. He wanted guests to feel like they were walking into his home and in fact, the store was modeled after his Tribeca apartment. It seems the collaborators met in the middle because the look is exactly what one would expect from the duo - minimalistic, high contrast, and everything in its place. The look is purposeful but nothing too pretentious.
I love the addition of the fox fur hammock. It screams, we don't take ourselves too seriously! The last photo is an installation that will evolve with time but at the moment, is made up of baby's breath arch ways.
Below are pictures from Ryan Korban's very own boutique, Edon Manor, which he opened several years ago with a friend:

Kidding Around
Who doesn't love children? Ok well not everyone but, they are cute and they look even cuter when they're sporting the newest D&G or Stella McCartney children's collection. These kids also happen to be the newest inspiration for street photographers like The Sartorialist, Garance Dore and Jak and Jil. I wouldn't want to post me in my pink and green bunny sweater and matching hats from 1st grade next to these chillins. It's tough being a triple threat as a toddler!

I Love Leather!
As a 5th year vegetarian, I do not condone the killing of animals for clothing but I must admit that I pine for the look of leather leggings. I adore how the look can be worn day to night, polished or edgy. Everyone seems to be sporting a pair from trend setting celebs to the fashion elite. With my morals and wallet in mind, faux leather will have to do for me!
